Big Bear boasts over 100 miles of National Forest trails. Grab a bike, or throw on your hiking boots, and head for the trails. From easy, family-friendly strolls on paved paths to challenging hikes through tough terrain, there is a route for every skill level.
Head for the Lake
Big Bear Lake has something for everyone – boat rentals and guided tours, fishing, jet skiing, and great spots along the shoreline to take a dip or go for a paddle. Locals and visitors alike love gathering for a picnic at various spots along the scenic shoreline. Please be sure to help keep Big Bear clean and dispose of all your trash!
Family-Friendly Fun
Big Bear offers fun for the whole family with endless outdoor activities to choose from. Climb and swing on the Tarzan Boat – a floating waterpark on the lake, or navigate a sled down a whizzing cement track (you can choose a fast or slow track), race around the go-kart track, or slip and slide down a water slide at Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain. Adrenaline seekers can soar to new heights on an ariel obstacle course at Big Bear Speedway & Ropes Course.
Historians of all ages will love discovering Big Bear’s rich gold mining history at Gold Rush Mining Adventures as well as learning about local wildlife conservation at Big Bear Alpine Zoo.
Hit the Links – in the Dark
Join Bear Moutain Golf Course on September 1st and 2nd for Glow Golf – a 9-hole extravaganza with a glow in the dark course and balls. The event begins at 7pm with drinks and dinner. Shotgun starts at 8pm, ending at 10pm.
Cost: $69 per person
Includes:
-Dinner (finger foods) & 1 draft beer or fountain soda
-1 glow ball (additional glow balls available for purchase at the Pro Shop)
-Green fee & cart rental
Moonridge Mondays Street Fair
Join the community along the brand-new Moonridge Corridor for the new Street Fair on September 4th, 4pm – 7pm! Enjoy browsing the stalls of local vendors, food trucks, live music, and kids’ activities.
Admission is free. Leashed pups allowed.
