When traveling to Bella Beach or Depoe Bay from Portland, Newberg is an easy stop for lunch or dinner. We always make time for a stop and a meal at Ruddick Wood. This modern tavern features seasonal comfort food, great atmosphere and friendly service. Don’t miss their deviled eggs, crab & bay shrimp cakes, halibut entree and steak dinner as well as their curated list of cocktails, craft beers and local wines.
Scout Northwest
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a shop with a carefully selected collection of some of the best local items that also carried great outdoor gear like Yeti goods and their own branded coffee? Welcome to Scout Northwest, an adventure and lifestyle store that truly has something for everyone. This locally-owned shop is located in the Lincoln City Outlets and known for their extensive Yeti collection and for their super-soft hoodies and T-shirts too.
Historic Taft Distric
Make sure to leave some time for a stop and stroll in the Historic Taft District on the south end of Lincoln City. This charming part of town is one of six former small towns that all became part of Lincoln City. Enjoy the art galleries, eateries, shops, the Taft dock and the vibrant beachfront. On the beach you can hunt for agates and keep an eye out for seals as well as go crabbing and try your hand at a fresh catch for dinner. The sunset views from Taft are breathtaking!
Lincoln City Glass Center
Lincoln City is a glass-blowing Mecca, drawing glass artists from all over the world to share their craft. The town is also known for their glass floats program, called Finders Keepers, where local glass artists regularly hide glass floats along the beach and whomever finds them gets to keep them! You can work with a local glass artist to make your own glass float at the Lincoln City Glass center, just a few minutes up the road from Bella Beach and Depoe Bay.
