Free shuttle buses are back this year! The buses will run on a continuous 45-minute loop, stopping at most major hotels as well as Nye Beach and the Bayfront. 

Newport’s largest annual event, the Newport Seafood & Wine Festival, started in 1977 to boost the local economy during the slow season. The first Seafood & Wine Festival was held at the Newport National Guard Armory. The following year, Mo Niemi of Mo’s Restaurant helped increase the event’s size by including thirteen wineries, musicians, and arts and craft stalls. Today, the four-day event draws thousands of visitors, with over 125 vendors including artisans, NW wineries, and fresh seafood all under a tented venue.
