Benson Lake Trailhead

The Benson Lake Trail departs from the Benson/Tenas Trailhead, leading westwards and uphill through a forest of conifers. Once you reach the edge of Benson Lake, this trail transitions into Mt. Washington Wilderness area. As you progress northward after passing by marshes near the lake’s edges, switchbacks pull you up to pocket meadows before reaching Tenas Lake Trail. Afterwards, traverse back west while descending down past The Knobs in an alpine mixed conifer habitat until arriving at your destination: Tenas Lakes!
