Santa Land
Parents, gather your little elves and bring them down to mingle with Santa’s helpers and get their photo taken with the man in red himself every Friday – Sunday until December 23rd at the Old Mill District, located between the Sunglass Hut and the Sweet Tooth Candy Shoppe
Downtown Bend Christmas Tree Lighting
Spend the evening listening to local choirs singing carols before the traditional lighting of the downtown Bend Christmas Tree on Friday, December 1st. Festivities start at 4pm with Santa set to light the tree near Crow’s Feet Commons shortly after dusk.
Bend Christmas Parade
Bend’s annual Christmas parade is sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit. The parade starts at the intersection of Newport and Harmon, runs east on Newport, turns south on Wall, then meanders along Riverside Blvd. before it crosses the Galveston Street Bridge and ends. December 2nd at 12pm.
Holiday Lights Paddle Parade
The Deschutes will be all aglow on Friday, December 15th, starting at 4pm. Paddlers gather at Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe’s shop near Whitewater Park then make their way upriver adorned with an array of twinkling lights and decorations, creating a magical holiday spectacle.
Ice Skating and Sledding
Depending on where you are staying, you can hit the ice at several local ice skating rinks. Enjoy whizzing around the rinks at Seventh Mountain Resort or The Pavilion in Bend, The Village in Sunriver, or the Redmond Ice Rink. Prefer to be out in nature? Head to the hills for some sledding fun at Wagona Sno-Park in Bend.
