Halloween is fun for the whole family on the Oregon Coast! From pumpkin patches to trick-or-treating at the local businesses in town to local events planned to celebrate the season (or to just get scared…. see Haunted House info below) there are lots of ways you can enjoy this spooky time of year. Do you like to celebrate Halloween by walking through a SCARY haunted house and having zombies jump out at you? THIS EVENT IS NOT FOR KIDS OR THE FAINT OF HEART but if getting jumped at by scary creatures is your idea of fun, then the Newport Haunted House might be for you! Haunted House is open on October 24th – 31st, 2019. This event is only for those who like to be spooked and scared (they even make you sign a waiver) but if that is your thing, head to Newport this Halloween season!
This one is fun for the grown-ups! Join local-favorite Black Squid Beer House for their annual costume party. This event, put on by Lincoln City Young Professionals group will be held at the Beer House on October 15, 2019 from 8PM – 11PM. There will be a spooky costume contest and prizes awarded in the following categories: Scariest, Best Couple and Most Unique.
Want to keep that winning costume idea you have going? On Saturday, October 26, from 9PM to 2AM, Chinook Winds Casino will be hosting a Halloween Party for the grown-ups. Cash prizes will be awarded in the categories of Scariest, Best Couple, Most Unique (among other categories) and music, food and fun will be available. Please note this event is for those 21 and over. PLEASE NOTE: Snoop Dogg is also scheduled to play the casino that evening, tickets available in advance.
