Seaside
August 10, 2022

Did you know the Seaside Aquarium is one of the oldest aquariums on the West Coast, hosting generations of visitors and locals since 1937? Kids of all ages can enjoy the hands-on discovery center, observe live displays of marine life native to the Pacific Northwest, and of course, feed the resident seals!

Opening Hours:

The aquarium opens daily at 9:00 am, but winter and summer hours may vary at closing times, so we recommend calling 503-738-6211 for specific hours.

The aquarium is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Ticket Prices:

Adults: $10.00

Children (6-13): $5.00

Seniors (+64): $8.50

Family (up to six paid admission): $34.00

Children five and under: Free with paid admission

Call 503-738-6211 for special group rates for school, clubs and other organizations.

Exhibits:

The Discovery Center gives visitors an opportunity to use the microscopes to view the aquarium’s tiniest creatures, and their staff members are always available to answer any questions. You can also actually touch sea anemones, sandpaper textured starfish and prickly sea urchins in the “Touch Tank.”

The underwater area displays a fascinating world of unusual sights, rare life forms, and vibrant colors. You will see plant-like animals, crustaceans and fish, which are all part of the amazing and complex Pacific Ocean ecosystem.

How to Get to the Seaside Aquarium:

Seaside is easy to get to. From the north or south, take U.S. Highway 101. The aquarium is at the end of Second Avenue and North Promenade, just two blocks north of the Seaside Turnaround.
